The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, extended the deadline for Matric supplementary examination form fill-up on Monday, providing relief to students who were unable to complete the registration process within the earlier schedule, which ended today.

According to official information, the last date for submitting supplementary examination forms was scheduled to end on May 18. However, considering requests from students and schools, the Board has now extended the deadline till May 25.

The decision is expected to benefit a large number of students preparing to appear for the supplementary examinations after the recent declaration of Matric results. Students who failed in one or more subjects or could not clear the examination will now get additional time to complete the application process.

“As per the previous notification No.-1091 (Exam Conf.-1), dtd-05/05/2026, the last date of online form fill-up application for Supplementary HSC and SOSC (2nd) Examination, 2026 was 18/05/2026. Considering the request of Headmasters of the High Schools, the date of form fill-up for Supplementary HSC and SOSC (2nd) Examination, 2026 is extended up to 25/05/2026 midnight. No further extension will be allowed,” a BSE notification issued in this regard mentioned.

School authorities have been advised to ensure that eligible students complete their form submissions within the revised timeline to avoid last-minute technical or documentation-related issues. BSE officials also urged students to carefully verify their details before final submission of the forms.

The extension has brought relief among students and parents across the State, especially those facing difficulties in collecting required documents or completing online formalities. Further details regarding the examination schedules and admit cards are expected to be announced by the Board in the coming days.
