“The bear is from Kuntapala, Dinasahi. We heard noises this morning, and when we went closer, we saw it was a big bear. It’s frightening to even approach it. The Forest Department team has arrived and is handling the situation according to safety guidelines,” said local resident Ratnakar Bindhani.
Forest officials urged everyone to maintain distance and not provoke the animal, ensuring both human and animal safety. The rescue operation is ongoing, reflecting the department’s prompt action to protect wildlife while maintaining public safety.
The incident has become a talking point across the village, highlighting the delicate balance between human settlements and wildlife in forest-adjacent areas.
