A massive recruitment drive at the Birla Tyres manufacturing unit in Balasore turned into a scene of complete chaos on May 15th and 16th. Hundreds of hopeful job seekers, including B.Tech and Diploma engineers, arrived in overwhelming numbers to apply for open positions.
The crowd soon became unmanageable, leading to intense pushing and shoving during the registration process. While fortunately no one was seriously injured, the authorities were forced to temporarily halt the registration due to the security risk.
