Yash’s Toxic: Tara Sutaria calls her female co-stars ‘Fearless’, says the women in the film are ‘Fascinating’

Rocking Star Yash’s Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups continues to stay among the most-discussed upcoming films ever since it was announced. Despite the debates and controversies that followed the teaser launch, excitement around the film’s massive ensemble cast remains strong. While fans are waiting for more official updates, during her recent appearance at the 79th Cannes Film Festival, Tara, who plays Rebecca, opened up about why Toxic became such an important project for her and what made her say yes to the film.
Tara Sutaria on Choosing Quality Over Quantity
Tara Sutaria will be seen portraying Rebecca, a character described as both captivating and dangerous. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter India, the actress shared that the film gave her a deep sense of creative fulfillment and happiness. She also reflected on her approach to selecting projects, explaining that meaningful cinema matters more to her than constantly staying busy with multiple films.
The actress revealed that she is perfectly content doing fewer films as long as the work excites her creatively.
She shared, “It doesn’t bother me to do less work, I’d rather do good work. I’d rather do 10 Apurvas than do anything else.” According to Tara, this very mindset eventually led her towards a film like Toxic.
“All Of The Women In This Film Are Fascinating”
Tara also spoke fondly about sharing screen space with such a dynamic female cast. She described the atmosphere on set as empowering and inspiring, adding that every actress brought her own individuality, confidence and energy into the film.
Speaking about her co-stars, Tara said, “All of the women in this film are fascinating. Everyone is fabulous and fearless.”
The actress further highlighted how uncommon it is to witness women from different generations and phases of their careers coming together and uplifting one another during filmmaking. She admitted that even watching everyone collaborate during scenes felt special to her.
She added, “To witness all of us come together at different ages and stages of our lives and careers, and really celebrate each scene is incredible.”
Tara Praises Yash And Director Geetu Mohandas
Apart from her co-stars, Tara Sutaria also showered praise on Geetu Mohandas and Yash. Calling Yash an exceptional co-actor and person, she shared that she enjoys working in environments built on sincerity, purpose and mutual respect.
