In a late-night operation on Saturday, police conducted a raid at a hotel in Sonepur district, uncovering a suspected sex racket.

During the raid, authorities detained seven young men and five young women from the premises. All the individuals were brought to the police station for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.

According to reports, a team from Sonepur Police carried out the raid after receiving inputs regarding the alleged operation of a sex racket at the hotel in the town. 

Police Raid Conducted Late At Night

Police said the raid was launched based on information about alleged immoral activities being conducted from the hotel. During the search operation, several young men and women were found inside the premises and were subsequently taken into custody for further inquiry.

All the detained individuals were taken to the police station, where questioning is currently underway. However, police have not yet disclosed further details regarding the identities of those detained or whether any arrests have been formally made in connection with the case.

Investigation Underway

Officials said the investigation is continuing to ascertain the nature of activities being carried out at the hotel and to determine whether more people are linked to the alleged racket.
