Centre-state coordination driving development in Odisha: Arun Singh in Bhubaneswar

is witnessing steady development under ‘double-engine governance’ led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, said BJP national general secretary Arun Singh as he arrived in Bhubaneswar on Thursday to attend a key organisational meeting of the party at the state headquarters.
Speaking to reporters, Singh said the coordination between the centre and the state government is helping accelerate development across various sectors in Odisha and improving governance delivery on the ground.
He also said the BJP’s organisational structure and functioning model set it apart from other political parties.
Double-engine governance driving development
Singh said Odisha is progressing under the combined leadership of the Centre and the state government, adding that this coordination is ensuring faster implementation of welfare schemes and development programmes.
He said the “double-engine model” is strengthening planning, execution, and outcomes in the state, which is benefiting people at the grassroots level.
BJP organisation built on collective decision-making
Highlighting the party’s internal functioning, he said the BJP works as a collective organisation where leaders and workers function together and decisions are taken through consultation at different levels.
According to him, discussions within the organisation help in arriving at better solutions and strengthen coordination within the party structure.
He added that such a model is not commonly seen in other political parties.
Workers have direct access to leadership, says Arun Singh
Arun Singh said BJP workers have direct access to senior leaders, with no barriers in communication within the organisation.
He said workers are treated as leaders within the party structure, which helps strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level.
He added that this open and accessible structure is one of the key reasons people are joining BJP and choosing to work under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The BJP national general secretary is in Odisha to attend a key organisational meeting at the state office, where senior leaders and party functionaries are expected to discuss organisational strengthening and future strategies.
