A tragic road accident occurred near Biripur village under Ganjam police jurisdiction, taking the lives of two individuals, including a CRCC, on Wednesday. A bike collided head-on with a scooter, resulting in the immediate death of both drivers. 

The victims have been identified as Raghunath Pradhan from Hanspur village and Jogendra Das from Humber village. Raghunath was serving as a CRCC (Cluster Resource Centre Co-ordinator) or BLO (Booth Level Officer) supervisor in Badamadhapur, earning respect from the local residents.

The injured were rushed by locals to Chhatrapur Subdivision Hospital, where Raghunath was declared dead on arrival. Jogendra, who was in critical condition, tragically passed away while being transferred to Berhampur-based MKCG Medical College and Hospital. 

The news of the accident has sent shockwaves through the community. Chhatrapur MLA Krishna Chandra Nayak visited the hospital to meet the bereaved families and offered his heartfelt condolences.

The police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances of the accident, while local authorities are advising commuters to exercise caution on busy roads. Residents described the incident as a tragic loss, noting the dedication of Raghunath in his official duties and the respect he commanded within the community. 

The accident has sparked calls for increased road safety awareness in the region to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
