The sudden disappearance immediately sparked panic online, with BTS ARMY flooding X and other platforms with questions and worried reactions. 

While some feared Jungkook may have personally deactivated the account yet again, others suspected the issue could be tied to an ongoing Instagram or Meta glitch affecting verified profiles.

Users trying to visit the singer’s page reportedly encountered messages such as “Sorry, this page isn’t available” and “User Not Found,” adding to the confusion surrounding the incident.

Did Meta’s AI Moderation Target Jungkook’s Profile?

As speculation intensified, several fan communities pointed fingers at Meta’s automated moderation system. According to fan pages, multiple celebrity and business accounts have recently been mistakenly deactivated due to AI-related moderation errors.

Jungkook himself appeared equally puzzled by the situation. The singer reacted through TikTok by sharing a screenshot connected to the issue and captioning it with a simple “?”

That tiny reaction was enough to send fans into another spiral of theories and concern.

One user commented, “Guys be calm. This happened to Yeonjun, Haechan and Mark.”

Another fan page wrote, “Apparently, Meta’s AI is mistakenly deactivating accounts, including verified business and celebrity profiles, and now, it seems, Jungkook’s Instagram account has also been affected and taken down. This recently happened to other K-pop acts which was later restored.”

Many ARMYs tried reassuring fellow fans by reminding them that similar account issues had recently happened to other idols before eventually being fixed.

Jungkook’s Instagram Comeback Had Become a Global Event

The situation feels even bigger because Jungkook’s return to Instagram last year had broken major engagement records. The singer had rejoined the platform on July 15, 2025, after famously deleting his original account in 2023 despite having over 50 million followers.

During a casual live session with fellow BTS members V, RM, Jimin and J-Hope, Jungkook had revealed that his handle @mnijungkook meant “my name is Jungkook.”

He had also shared that V encouraged him to launch the new profile. Even without uploading posts initially, the account exploded in popularity and gained nearly 7.1 million followers within hours.

His viral “Hooligan” bike challenge clip further boosted engagement, making the account’s sudden disappearance even more shocking for fans worldwide.
