Odisha continues to bake under severe heatwave, with temperatures soaring to unprecedented levels. In Hirakud, the mercury touched a staggering 44 degrees Celsius by mid-afternoon on Tuesday, making it one of the hottest spots in the state. Jharsuguda closely followed, recording 43.8 degrees, while Sambalpur also crossed the 43-degree mark.
