Odisha Plus 2 results: CHSE announces special improvement exam for students with low marks

Students who have successfully passed the CHSE Plus 2 annual exams but secured lower marks in certain subjects will now get an opportunity to improve their scores through a special improvement examination. CHSE authorities informed on Wednesday that eligible students can appear for the improvement test in one subject only.

According to the official announcement, the improvement examination is expected to be conducted during the first week of July. Both regular and ex-regular students will be eligible to appear for the examination. Officials stated that this initiative has been introduced to help students enhance their academic performance without losing an academic year.

The notification further clarified that from the 2025-26 academic session onwards, students must be registered in all subjects and must pass in every subject to meet the required academic criteria. The fresh move is aimed at strengthening the academic standards and ensuring uniformity in examination regulations.

Meanwhile, students seeking a rechecking or re-evaluation of their answer sheets will soon receive detailed guidelines. The official notification regarding the rechecking process is expected to be released by May 27, 2026. Students and guardians have been advised to regularly monitor official updates for application procedures and deadlines.

In another important update, authorities announced that students will be able to download copies of their Plus 2 mark sheets from DigiLocker starting tomorrow. This digital facility is expected to make access to academic documents easier and faster for students across the State.

The latest announcement has brought relief to several students who were worried about low scores despite passing the examination. Education experts believe the improved exam system will provide students with another chance to strengthen their academic records and future opportunities.

Worth mentioning, earlier in the day, the CHSE-Odisha declared the results of annual Plus II examinations for all streams, with the overall pass percentage rising to 85.85 per cent.

The results were announced by School and Mass Education (S&ME) Minister Nityananda Gond. Compared to last year’s overall pass percentage of 83.45 per cent, the State recorded an improvement of 2.4 percentage points this year.
