SBI employee dies trying to alight from moving train at Ambodala Railway Station

In a tragic incident on Monday, an employee of the State Bank of India (SBI) lost his life while attempting to get down from a moving train at Ambodala railway station in Odisha’s Rayagada district. The deceased has been identified as Dilip Kumar Sabat, who worked at the SBI branch in Bishwanathpur.
According to reports, the unfortunate accident occurred when Dilip tried to alight from the Bhubaneswar–Junagarh Express as it was departing Ambodala station. Sources revealed that the train had already started moving when he attempted to jump onto the platform in a hurry. During this attempt, he suffered fatal injuries and died on the spot.
Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel promptly reached the scene and shifted Dilip to a nearby hospital, but he could not be saved. The sudden mishap has sent shockwaves through fellow passengers, railway staff, and local residents. Many expressed deep grief over the incident, highlighting the dangers of attempting to board or alight from moving trains.

Authorities have confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances of the accident. Meanwhile, railway officials have urged passengers to exercise extreme caution while boarding or alighting, especially at stations where trains are in motion.
