A serious road accident involving a Hyva truck and an ambulance occurred near Tarikunda Chhak under Jagatsinghpur Sadar police station limits on Monday, leaving the ambulance driver critically injured.

The impact of the collision was so severe that the driver’s left hand was completely severed. Following the accident, he was initially provided medical assistance locally before being shifted to Cuttack for advanced treatment due to the critical nature of his injuries.

According to reports, the ambulance collided with the Hyva truck near Tarikunda Chhak. Local residents and passersby rushed to the scene to assist in rescue efforts before the injured driver was transported to the hospital. Details regarding the circumstances leading to the collision are yet to be officially confirmed.
