A fire broke out at the Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) electric grid at Sadeipali under Bolangir Sadar police station limits on Saturday. Power supply was temporarily affected in Bolangir, Kalahandi and Sonepur districts.

The blaze was brought under control after personnel from the Bolangir Fire Services department rushed to the spot upon receiving information about the incident.

Fire Contained By Fire Services Team

According to preliminary information, the fire reportedly originated in some equipment installed within the grid premises. Firefighters undertook operations to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading further within the facility.

No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.

Power Supply Affected Temporarily

The incident led to a temporary disruption in electricity supply across parts of Bolangir, Kalahandi and Sonepur districts. Power restoration measures were subsequently initiated after the situation was brought under control.
