The harrowing scene of the minor writhing in pain on the street was captured and quickly went viral on social media, drawing widespread outrage.

Local residents condemned the act, calling it a blatant violation of basic human decency and child rights. The elder sister, who tried to intervene while the neighbour was preparing tea, was also assaulted and had her food forcibly thrown, highlighting the severity of the attack.
