The East Coast Railway has announced the temporary cancellation of several passenger train services under the Khurda Road Division on Sunday, May 17, in view of safety-related modernization and maintenance works being carried out across different railway sections.

According to an official release issued by the railway authorities, the modernization and maintenance activities are being undertaken to enhance passenger safety, strengthen railway infrastructure and ensure the smooth movement of both passenger and freight trains in the division. Officials said the works are essential to meet growing operational requirements and improve the overall efficiency of train services in the region.

As part of the maintenance schedule, the following train services will remain cancelled on Sunday:

Train No. 68411/68412 Bhubaneswar–Brahmapur–Bhubaneswar MEMU Passenger.
Train No. 58405/58406 Cuttack–Paradip–Cuttack Passenger.
Train No. 68435/68436 Cuttack–Paradip–Cuttack MEMU Passenger.
Train No. 68437/68438 Cuttack–Bhadrak–Cuttack MEMU Passenger.

Railway authorities have advised passengers to take note of the cancellations and plan their journeys accordingly. Commuters have also been requested to check updated train schedules and running information through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or official railway enquiry services before starting their journey.
