Police crack Rayagada murder case, 3 accused nabbed from Bihar

Three persons have been arrested from Aurangabad in Bihar in connection with the abduction and murder of a youth in Odisha’s Rayagada district on Saturday.
The accused are being brought to Odisha on transit remand by Rayagada Police.
South Western Range DIG Kanwar Vishal Singh confirmed the arrests and said detailed information regarding the case will be shared during a press conference likely to be held on Sunday. Sources indicated that the accused are expected to reach Odisha by night.
Police Probe Possible Motive
Police have not officially confirmed the exact motive behind the murder. However, sources suggest that the crime may have stemmed from disputes related to a gambling den in Andhra Pradesh.
Investigators are continuing to examine all possible angles in the case. The incident reportedly took place on the 10th of this month in Rayagada town.
Youth Allegedly Abducted at Gunpoint
According to reports, the youth was allegedly abducted from the Indira Nagar area after miscreants opened fire. Following the incident, police launched a search operation and later recovered the victim’s body from the Tumbiguda area of Rayagada district.
After receiving information about the alleged kidnapping, police rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation. The victim’s mother alleged that some unidentified miscreants had kidnapped her son. She further claimed that despite lodging a complaint at the police station, her son was later allegedly shot dead by the accused.
