A Courtroom Drama Rooted In Justice And Faith
Karuppu centres on marginalised communities fighting for justice through the legal system. However, when the same system begins to oppress them instead of protecting them, Karuppu Swamy manifests in human form to punish injustice and defend the helpless.
Suriya essays the role of lawyer Saravanan, while Trisha Krishnan plays the female lead in the socially charged action-drama.
The movie additionally features Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Supreeth Reddy and Yogi Babu in pivotal roles. Early box office chatter also suggests the film could be heading towards a powerful opening weekend.

Release Hurdles Before The Big Arrival
Before finally hitting theatres, Karuppu reportedly faced last-minute trouble over pending financial dues in Tamil Nadu. Trade reports claimed that nearly Rs 10 crore remained unsettled, preventing the film from securing mandatory permissions for theatrical screenings. The issue was eventually resolved, following which the much-awaited film made its theatrical debut.
