Golmaal 5: Rohit Shetty recreates Arshad Warsi-Sharman Joshi’s iconic scene from 2006 cult classic; watch

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty has revived one of the most iconic moments from Golmaal: Fun Unlimited, giving fans a glimpse into the madness awaiting them in Golmaal 5. The director recently shared a special video on Instagram that blends footage from the 2006 blockbuster with freshly shot scenes from the upcoming installment, instantly sparking excitement online.

The Scene Everyone Still Remembers

The recreated sequence features Arshad Warsi and Sharman Joshi revisiting the unforgettable race-car moment that became a fan-favourite over the years. Back in the original film, Arshad’s Madhav and Sharman’s Laxman speed through chaos while waving dramatically during a hilarious chase.

However, the comic highlight was Sharman appearing disguised as a woman — a moment that went on to become one of the most memorable visual gags in Bollywood comedy. The new video recreates the same energy while smoothly transitioning between the old and new footage, making it feel like the franchise never really left.

Sharing the clip, Rohit wrote, “Driving down the memory lane! How old were you when you watched the first Golmaal? We promise you’ll relive those happy days very soon… filming in progress.” (sic)

Original Cast Members Join the Nostalgia Ride

The nostalgic throwback quickly grabbed attention across social media, with fans celebrating the return of the franchise’s classic humour.

Arshad Warsi reposted the video and wrote, “20 years and nothing has changed, Golmaal will keep entertaining you…” (sic)

Meanwhile, Sharman Joshi summed up the mood by calling it the “Baap of all throwbacks.” (sic)

Golmaal Universe

Released in 2006, Golmaal: Fun Unlimited featured Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Sharman Joshi, Rimi Sen and Paresh Rawal in lead roles. The film’s success transformed it into one of Bollywood’s most successful comedy franchises, later expanding through Golmaal Returns, Golmaal 3 and Golmaal Again.

Over time, stars like Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu and Johnny Lever also became key faces in the franchise.
